To bring a festive cheer to the downtown area, the city of Springfield launched its 2025 Holiday Planter Contest! Preservation, Inc. partnered with the Ursuline Academy Alumni Foundation to create a signature planter that blends Christmas charm with the history of the Ursuline Campus.
Designed in the school’s traditional colors of red and white and featuring a banner that honors Ursuline Academy’s long history, this holiday planter aims to spark curiosity, inspire seasonal giving, and invite the community to support ongoing preservation efforts throughout the holiday season.
The Holiday Planter is located in front of the Lincoln Square Apartments on South 5th Street in downtown Springfield. You can’t miss it!
Judging for the contest will take place Dec. 6-12. The Holiday Planter Committee will select first, second and third-place winners.
