March 1 marked an important milestone for Preservation, Inc. — the submission of four separate grant applications in support of ongoing restoration and accessibility improvements at the historic 1908 Ursula Hall Music Conservatory.

Each proposal reflects months of planning, documentation, budgeting, and collaboration. Together, they represent a unified effort to secure funding for ADA-compliant accessibility improvements and continued rehabilitation of this historic north-end landmark.

Submitting four grants in a single day speaks to both urgency and commitment. The needs are real. The opportunity is significant. And the impact — particularly for older adults and underserved neighborhoods surrounding Enos Park, Lincoln Park, Pillsbury, and Downtown Springfield — will be lasting.

Grant funding allows Preservation, Inc. to leverage private donations, expand programming, stimulate economic activity along the Historic Route 66 Business corridor, and ensure that this historic space remains accessible for generations to come.

We are grateful to the volunteers, partners, and supporters who helped bring these applications together. Now we wait — hopeful, prepared, and determined.

Because preservation is not just about buildings.
It’s about access.
It’s about community.
It’s about the future.
